Day 5: Traverse City, MI next day
March 10, 2000
11:00a: Breakfast at Mabel's famous joint. Shrimp salad sandwich, chips and yummy yummy Cherry pie with French Vanilla ice cream. That's a Michigan breakfast/brunch.
Bought a cap and talked to a possible customer at Division hat shop in Traverse City.
Proceeded back to the BayShore and lay around all day until dinner. SmartBeetle Vacation day.
Flipped between MTV & VH1 for 5 hours.
Dinner at Freshwater Lodge, TC - Appetizer was a Spinach and Cheese Fondue with Chips (suspiciously similar to yesterday's Gorgonzola and Pecan dip - turns out the two restaurants have the same owner). Maple Glazed Walleye with Squash and White Cheddar Mashed Potatoes.
Moved on to Streeters dance club and bar where Ron Getz and Greilick were playing again. Drank many Guinness (two nights in a row!) and they finished up with a kick ass version of Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes. Memories of home...
back to the hotel where Wassa destroyed a bag of Tostitos on the floor and wolfed down Arby's Beef & Cheddar's.
Tomorrow the proper Nokia Cell cable should show up and my wireless Internet will be working finally!
